MADEIRA is the lush, hazy electropop project of Kim Pflaum, a singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and visual artist who was also a founding member of Christchurch, New Zealand's <a href="spotify:artist:4tPyCwWrsvZ8OKYl7QRavL">Yumi Zouma</a>. After leaving the group in late 2014, Pflaum relocated to Auckland and wrote cathartic songs for her solo project. Opting for a sleeker sound than her former band's music on singles such as Let Me Down -- which was released by <a href="spotify:artist:2CgysNw5B7rFNRtRjQbPZ9">Ryan Hemsworth</a>'s <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Secret+Songs%22">Secret Songs</a> label -- MADEIRA's debut EP, Bad Humors, arrived in September 2016 on <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Carpark+Records%22">Carpark Records</a>. ~ Heather Phares, Rovi
