Mahiru Senarathne, born on April 8 in Colombo, Sri Lanka, is a multifaceted artist known for his work as a singer, songwriter, composer, music producer, and audio engineer. He is the founder and CEO of MREC Entertainment, a significant record label and distribution company in the Sri Lankan music industry. He is also an Apple Certified Mastering Enginner.
Mahiru’s musical journey began at a young age, leading him to become a respected figure in Sri Lanka’s music scene. His soulful and heartfelt music blends pop, Indian, and modern classical influences. He has collaborated with notable Sri Lankan artists, including Rohana Weerasinghe, Dhyan Hewage, Ridma Weerawardane and Piyath Rajapakse etc.
In addition to his musical pursuits, Mahiru is a software engineer, having graduated from the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT) in Malabe.
In 2023, Mahiru co-founded Zen Films, a video production company, with Rashan Balasooriya, further expanding his creative ventures.
