A Filmfare-winning lyricist and writer, Manoj Yadav has built a distinctive body of work across films, non-film music, advertising and corporate writing. His words have travelled from intimate songs to stadium anthems, from cinema to independent music, always carrying a voice that is simple, rooted and deeply human.
He wrote βDe Ghuma Ke,β the official anthem of the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup, and has penned songs for Hindi and Marathi films including Piku, Azhar, Nil Battey Sannata, Badla, Ventilator, Paani, Tarla, Thackeray and Aata Thambaycha Naay! His Marathi work has earned him several honours, including his latest Filmfare Award.
His work also extends to films such as Mamangam, Acharya and HIT: The 3rd Case, for which he wrote Hindi lyrics, alongside music for Coke Studio @ MTV, independent and devotional projects. His journey began in advertising, writing memorable campaigns and jingles for major national brands.
Raised in Thane with roots in Azamgarh, his writing carries the fragrance of soil, the warmth of ordinary lives and a deep belief in simple words. Whether writing about love, faith, struggle or hope, he looks for that rare line that feels less written, and more lived.
