Described by many as India’s most reclusive composer and songwriter, Mithoon is the acclaimed visionary behind some of the most lilting and haunting melodies in the last decade. A man of very few words whose music is often described as emotive and soul stirring, he is known to have the biggest hits in the Indian music industry.

In 2013, Mithoon’s super hit track, ‘Tum Hi Ho’ written and composed by him for the movie ‘Aashiqui 2’ set a new benchmark at the box office and went on to win more than 24 awards in almost all the categories it was nominated for that year. The song was also nominated at the MTV European Music Awards.

He has consistently delivered quality music in Hindi films such as ‘Anwar’ ,The Train’, ‘Lamhaa’, ‘Murder 2’, ‘Jism 2’, ‘Ek Villain’, ’Sanam Re ‘Half Girlfriend’ helping all these films draw a huge opening at the box office.

Mithoon always believed in working with new talent and he alone has launched the biggest singers in the country today including Atif Aslam,Shilpa Rao, Mohammed Irfan and Arijit Singh.

His recent collaboration with American rapper CJ for the song ‘Whoopty’ was a huge success and it became most streamed song of the year Globally. this led Mithoon to become the first Indian composer to get credit and royalties for his melody being used in an international track.
