Released in 1997, her debut on albums was a partnership with Elton Medeiros and Zé Renato. It was a live recording of the concert “A Alegria Continua”, public-acclaimed and considered the best concert of those years by critics. Later on, in her first solo album, called “Mariana de Moraes”, she interpreted sambas, Bossa Nova songs and North American classics. Recorded in 2001 in Los Angeles and produced by pianist Guilherme Vergueiro, the album was released and applauded in USA and Japan.
"Se É Pecado Sambar", the long awaited third album released in 2007, brought together the best of her repertoire until then. In the same year, her version for "Fotografia (Photograph)", by Tom Jobim, was included in the soundtrack of the soap opera "Viver a Vida" (TV Globo). Always participating in several projects of many Brazilian artists, the last album released up to now was "Desejo", produced by Alê Siqueira, José Miguel Wisnik and Marcelo Costa.
Brisa do Mar is her fifth career album. Produced by João Samuel, it carries on the great refined work of research developed by Mariana. Once again, she exposes her talent with an illustrious and instigating repertoire, which lines up the most powerful impulses of Brazilian music.
