Marl-E

London based artist Marl-E has dancehall deep in his roots. From the legacy of his grandfather’s street parties in Newland, to his brother’s Wessi Wassi soundsystem. Marl-E has been surrounded by reggae and dancehall his whole life, taking inspiration from some of the greatest artists to have ever graced the genres, including the likes of Bob Marley, Garnett Silk, Beenie Man, Vybz Kartel, Mavado and Busy Signal. Marl-E also looks beyond Reggae and Dancehall and towards Hip Hop and RnB for further inspiration from artists like Michael Jackson, Usher, DMZ, Jay-Z and J Cole. Marl-E began recording professionally in 2016, making a big impact early in his career with his single ‘Tic A Likkle’ which was released in summer 2017. ‘Tic A Likkle’ featured on the popular Akam Entertainment YouTube channel and has amassed over 30,000 views since it’s release. Other notable releases from Marl-E include ‘Social Media Affair’ which featured on the popular White Gad Records produced ’Global Warming’ Riddim, ‘Bruk It Off’ and his latest single ‘Siddung Gal’. One of the highlights of Marl-E’s career was featuring alongside the popular artist Dejour Gardener (best known for his hit single ’Proper Touch) on his recent UK show ‘Island Whine’. Marl-E has several songs in rotation in the dancehalll scene in the UK, featuring on several radio stations and mixtapes. He also preparing to release a remix of his popular single ‘Bruk It Off’ featuring Dejour Gardener.
