Martha May & The Mondays have carved their own radical path from solo folk beginnings to a genre‑defying collective that fuses feral punk energy with cinematic sounds, poetic depth, and a fearless DIY ethos. From the mind of prolific songwriter and fearsome front runner Martha May, the band has morphed into it’s current form with impact from David Steven, Kirsty Clark, Anna Jack and Charlie Vigano: 5 friends in their early to mid twenties.

Live, they are a force of nature. They provide a sweaty, unhinged communion that blurs the line between band and crowd, turning every show into an unforgettable experience. They’ve already torn stages in Glasgow at legendary venues, commanding attention with their visceral presence and uncompromising sound.

Driven by a spirit that refuses complacency, the band’s influences go beyond music into movements and activism , woven threads of punk rebellion with cultural critique and passionate advocacy. They care deeply about grassroots culture, accessible music scenes, and making space for voices that often go unheard.

From their beginnings to their explosive present, they continue to reshape what it means to be an innovative band in 2026 and beyond… A band with one foot in the gutter and both eyes on the horizon. They don’t just make music, they challenge, provoke, move, and inspire with it.

They recently took home the Best Rock/Alternative Act award at the recent Scottish Alternative Music Awards ceremony in November 2025.
