Maruf was born in Istanbul in 2002. Since the age of approximately 12, he has been involved in songwriting and production. Maruf has set a vision for himself: to become a globally recognized Turkish artist. His approach to achieving this goal involves blending the ethnic musical elements of the Turkish region with global Pop and R&B genres, creating his unique style. He applies the same philosophy to fashion and style, coining the term “Hood Pop” for his music genre.
