After playing with Intocable, accordionist Albert Ramírez, Jr. and ex-Jaime y los Chamacos singer/bassist Johnny Lee Rosas joined their talent in a new Mexican/regional-oriented band called Masizzo, debuting in 1997 with La Otra Mitad and making 100% Masizzo a year later. After issuing M3, including the single hits "Solamente Mia" and "Ingrata Suerte," the group achieved three nominations for the 20th Tejano Music Awards.
