After 15 years together, the members of the Damn Good Blues Band know that "ragged but right" is better than"polished to perfection." Their blend of roots rock and blues relies on passion rather than precision.
After years of solo releases singer guitarist Matthew Patrick got together with the Damn Good Blues Band in a Baltimore recording studio to capture the raw sound of their live performances. In a marathon session in a studio with no air conditioning the boys fired through all of the staple songs of their live set. This release captures the intensity of the band at their best and in a time when mutitracked, autotuned, synthesized pop reigns, it is a breathe of fresh air.
