Gift Sibusiso Matjie publicly known as Mgiftoz SA is a South African musician, MC born and raised in the township of Tsakane, East of Johannesburg. The singer, songwriter and dancer’s music background is one that has been shaped by the soul of the township groove, the character in its people and the eclectic lifestyle that surrounds him with a touch of church choir polyphonal influence gave life to the angel voiced musician.
The 23 year old started showcasing his artistry in early 2018 when he worked with various music producers as a vocalist, songwriter and arranger which honed his skills to becoming one of the most sort after Amapiano features in the country.
The talented Mgiftoz caught the attention South Africa’s Amapiano royalty and has worked with De Mthuda, Njelic, DJ Jaivane, Ntokzin and Rabs Vhafuwi on a house music offering. His biggest break came in 2021 from features on renowned producer Busta 929 ‘s two albums titled Undisputed 1&2 where Mgiftoz made an appearance on tracks such as Vandam, Sgodo alongside Reece Madlisa, & Zuma, Yuri Boyka, Siyabulela and “Sdudla no Slenda”.
Mgiftoz has layed a solid foundation for his music career that encourages steady growth and positions the young talent as one of South Africa's rising stars taking Amapiano from South Africa to the world. 🎹🌍🌏🌎
