Michael J Tinker is a christian singer/songwriter. With a decade of recording and performing under his belt he has released 7 children's albums and 4 albums for grown-ups. His 11th studio record will be released as singles through 2025 and 2026. In the last year alone Michael has toured Australia, New Zealand, the USA as well as his native UK and Ireland.
Over the years Michael has worked with numerous musicians including Katriona Gilmore and Jamie Roberts, The Young'uns, Bella Hardy, Damien O'Kane, Jamie Evans and Ron Block. He's supported the likes of Bellowhead and Martin Simpson and toured throughout the UK and overseas.
Michael is probably best known for his Christian music for families. Crossing musical genres he packs his songs full of truth, humour and fun.
As well as producing music Michael has also starred in an audio drama written by James Cary (Miranda, Milton Jones, CBeebies script writer), a 6-episode live-action show, has written books, voiced audio books for adults and kids and has his own podcast for families.
Michael is a committed Christian and his faith plays a central role in all his music making, even if the songs are not always explicitly about God. “We’re created to be creators” says Michael. “Every time we create – whether it’s a piece of music, a work of art, a landscaped garden or even a pie – we reflect the one who made us and what we were made for – that’s why it feels so good!”
