Midnight Generation is a disco-electronic pop group from northern Mexico, founded and fronted by Fernando Mares. Since 2015, the band has been crafting a distinctive sound rooted in funk grooves and dance-driven rhythms, taking them from local stages to audiences around the world.

In 2020, the project expanded into a full band when Fernando brought together Luis Carlos Balderrama, Carlos Amaya, Samuel Márquez, and Diego Bustillos. Since then, Midnight Generation has established itself as one of Mexico's most exciting live acts, performing at major festivals and venues across Latin America and sharing stages with internationally acclaimed artists such as ZHU, Sticky Fingers, and Chromeo, among others.

In 2026, the band enters its most ambitious chapter yet — a sweeping international tour featuring major festival appearances across the United States, Europe, Canada, and Brazil. They will also join Empire of the Sun as opening act for more than 30 dates of their U.S. tour, while sharing stages with Jamiroquai, Purple Disco Machine, Bandalos Chinos, and Polo & Pan. Their latest single, "Runaways," the first taste of their forthcoming studio project, is out now.
