Miguel Maestre is a Trinidadian-Canadian singer, songwriter, producer, and audio engineer. Born and raised in Toronto, Canada – Miguel grew up with strong Trinidadian roots and has spent most of his life participating in the organization and production of music for the city's annual Caribana Festival. He makes his soca contributions a priority by releasing hits every Caribana and Trinidad Carnival season. Miguel is one of the artists who has been accredited for giving new life to the Soca genre in Canada. His musicality is diverse, showcasing the various styles of soca on an international scale by fusing the rhythm and sensation of calypso, parang, afrobeats, and pop into his music.
