Denim-clad and donning a cap, Miles Evans-Branagh is a musician on the move, a modern-day troubadour. When not on the road lending his talents to other groups ( <a href="spotify:artist:2LnGGtWA0aGHKW0hRghrWq" data-name="Terra Lightfoot">Terra Lightfoot</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:2vXJfRfKqdwDvqKL5tvJ7P" data-name="Logan Staats">Logan Staats</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6GevXItFTFNqPQQvEW8W9C" data-name="The Commoners">The Commoners</a>), he is miles from nowhere.
With his newest single, Just Enough, miles from nowhere. settles into the pocket of a relaxed groove with old-soul style. A natural evolution from 2023’s Slow Down, the track, garnished with a handful of Canada’s top musicians, is a refined offering that sonically mixes 1970’s So-Cal cool with a touch of roots-infused rock. Recorded at Ganaraska Recording Co. in Baltimore, Ontario, with Jim Bowskill (Blue Rodeo, The Sheepdogs), the single showcases the melodic maturity of singer-songwriter Miles Evans-Branagh with a performance that captures the undeniable ease and confidence of someone who’s honed his talent upon countless stages. A distillation of myriad musical influences, from folk to funk, miles from nowhere presents a sound akin to Jackson Browne and Hiss Golden Messenger, perfectly suited for life’s mellow moments.
miles is capping off 2026 with a new single, and an Ontario Fall Tour supporting Logan Staats starting on September 29th.
