Milquetoast & Co. is a Denver-based group that mingles high-intensity indie rock with angular elements of Americana with a melancholic touch. The music is abundantly self-aware and ironic without watering down the complexity of the human experience. MLQ celebrates the beauty and irreverence of a life well intentioned.
The band was originally based in Boston and self-released two albums prior to parting ways for several reasons; they had walked their miles. Waiting for the time and circumstances to be right, James McAndrew re-established the band with a fully re-formed lineup in Denver. Milquetoast & Co music picked up where the love affair left off with members (pictured above) Dan Zangari, Ben Parrish, Kyle Bocchieri, James McAndrew, Joe Engel. Sam Oatts is the ace up the sleeve of MLQ, co-producing and head of both the horn and string arrangements.
