Led by vocalist and songwriter Reinaldo “Rei” Álvarez, vocalist Laura Ann Singh, and keyboardist/arranger Marlysse Rose Simmons-Argandoña, Miramar has been at the forefront of bolero’s modern resurgence for over a decade. Drawing inspiration from icons like Sylvia Rexach, as well as influences from filín, onda nueva, and bolero-beat, their lush arrangements—often featuring strings and brass—meld romance, nostalgia, and poetic storytelling.
