Miss Velvet & The Blue Wolf initially started out as a 'band to watch' opener for George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic w/115 shows covering 4 US tours, 1 European tour and 1 Asia Pacific tour. The band was on a meteoric trajectory, charting on Billboard, 2 acclaimed albums and signed to UAA, but just when they were ready to step onto the top of the marquee, the lead singer not only abruptly quit, but started a vindictive lawsuit. From 2021-2023, in order to continue to fulfill their UK & US UAA Tour obligations with Dr. Funkenstein, The Blue Wolf was forced to change their name to @blueyeextinction due to a TRO placed on the trademark. The ex Miss Velvet tried to bar them from their new name but the court overruled. Blu Eye Extinction prevailed w/the funk & a new self titled album. In May 2023 the USPTO published the band's creator, music director and CEO of Isotopia Records as the owner of the trademark Miss Velvet and The Blue Wolf, however the legal circus continues.
