Mo Ali is a Dutch/Sudanese reggae artist whose voice and presence have captivated audiences worldwide. Born in Sudan and raised in Dubai before settling in Amsterdam, Mo’s musical journey began at age nine when a picture of Bob Marley on his uncle's wall sparked a lifelong passion.
His artistry truly blossomed at age 18, when he revealed a natural gift for music. In a short time, Mo taught himself to play a full spectrum of instruments mastering the drums, bass, keyboard, piano, guitar, and percussion. By 2010, he had formed his first band, and his sound quickly crossed borders, leading to tours in Egypt and the USA.
In 2020, he released his debut EP, Alhamdo Lilah, followed by the 2022 hit single "My Love," which found a passionate fanbase across Brazil, Indonesia, and the US. Today, Mo is recognized as one of the world’s most authentic voices in reggae, currently serving as the lead singer of Rootsriders, the renowned Bob Marley tribute band praised by the BBC.
His resemblance to the King of Reggae is so uncanny that after opening a show for Wyclef Jean, the superstar famously asked him: "Are you sure you aren't Bob Marley’s kid?" A true multi-instrumentalist with a golden voice, Mo Ali brings a rare, authentic soul to the stage.
