Modeplex is a DJ and techno producer from southern Germany. Raised in a musical family, Dave, his real name, has always been surrounded by instruments, music, and records. In his early twenties, he started organizing events and connecting with promoters and bookers.
Over time, Modeplex developed a very personal approach to producing, blending different musical genres and influences to create his own take on techno and deep house.
He draws inspiration from life experiences—moments from his past and expectations for the future—and channels those emotions into experimenting with sounds and recordings. That’s why his music carries genuine feeling. Each track he creates needs to have a deep sense of character and soul. He brings a wide range of ideas, emotions, and even algorithms into his creative process. Modeplex also values collaboration, knowing there’s always something to learn—and making music with others is simply more fun.
