With a sound that has been described as resembling "a Kate Bush soundtrack to a David Lynch film," Monelise has attained millions of online streams, intrigued tastemakers all over the world, and earned 5-star reviews for her live show "Hauntology". She is regularly supported by BBC Introducing and has toured Europe with Sofar Sounds.
Monelise began her Masters studies in Popular Music at Goldsmiths University (James Blake, Rosie Lowe) in 2018, where she created and premiered her live show "Hauntology." This show was toured to the Edinburgh Fringe, where press described Monelise’s performance as “a haunting, stunning musical performance in which the performer and audience become one” (The Wee Review).
Between 2020-2022, Monelise released a series of singles including “Clockwork Heart,” "Insane," and "Silver Lake," all of which have steadily circulated through thousands of Spotify playlists. She also developed as a professional songwriter, co-writing songs for rising international artists like John Linhart and Joan Alasta. 2023 saw the release of Monelise's ambitious second studio album, "Sanctify My Love", accompanied by her musical oracle.
In 2024, Monelise headlined a show at London's historic Old Church, further cementing her reputation as a captivating live performer. That same year, she remixed songs and collaborated with artists Nick Newton and Fer Fox, starred in high-scale music videos, and became an award-winning songwriter.
