Originally from the village of Olney, Buckinghamshire, and now living in Christchurch New Zealand, Maxwell Monika is gaining traction in the global drum and bass scene. Monika has enjoyed notable releases on labels such as Shogun Audio, Spearhead Records, and Fokuz Recordings to name just a few. His sound stretches from delicate melodic liquid to heavier drum-oriented steppers, blending soulful sounds with dance-floor energy.
As of September 2020, he continues to put on popular live shows with his promotion crew Liquid Exchange (LX), having hosted artists such as BCee, Sustance and Collette Warren, providing a platform for global and local artists to showcase their soulful side. Monika also co-hosts the weekly LX radio show on RDU 98.5FM alongside his friend Andy Zero, showcasing all the best releases from across the scene and beyond.
