The genre-bending alternative electronic 4-piece <a href="spotify:artist:1EESBfYnqZ9pylHg8n6lBP" data-name="Monks">Monks</a> have been bubbling away in the Liverpool underground scene for years.

Since forming when they were only 16 and releasing their first singles, <a href="spotify:track:028bVoMTJbk1ktfBlqwKhx" data-name="Dreamboat">Dreamboat</a> and <a href="spotify:track:2Db1EqrxW120ovyLxUtOyh" data-name="Sundried">Sundried</a> in the summer of 2018, Monks have experimented with their sound, touring relentlessly across the UK and France with their electronic high-energy hybrid DJ set.

Described by the London Evening Standard as "they look like <a href="spotify:artist:0WCo84qtCKfbyIf1lqQWB4" data-name="Geese">Geese</a> but they sound like <a href="spotify:artist:2mqiqsaX4LzFnUP7PmHGAb" data-name="The Dare">The Dare</a>.”

Their track ‘<a href="spotify:album:0FD9yHFGFHqU0ysiTWbLt8" data-name="third location">third location</a>’ was crowned BBC Radio 6’s introducing track of the week and remixed by <a href="spotify:artist:67yGrC4QoCSD0g7YMcGIgJ" data-name="1-800 GIRLS">1-800 GIRLS</a>. Monks are confirmed for two shows across the Great Escape and at Left of the Dial, Rotterdam.
