Motherhood emerged in Liverpool in 2016, comprised of friends Evan Torrente, Ed Juniper, Shea McChrystal and Dan Sullivan. With early demos earning the band BBC Radio 1 spins, Motherhood prove an exciting prospect with their own brand of danceable art pop. Sonically the band echo the rhythmic touches of Paul Simon's Graceland and the grandiosity of The Killers' Sam's Town. Their 2017 debut single Save Me exemplifies their powerful, percussive sound whilst follow up Hey You is an altogether more eclectic affair featuring an array of choppy synths and stuttering samples.
Debut EP #00Cfff features lyrics both heartfelt and tongue-in-cheek, providing an effervescent five-track introduction to a band whose songwriting prowess is just beginning to show.
