Mountain Bike is an indie rock band from Brussels, formed in 2012, known for their blend of garage rock, psychedelic pop, and a lo-fi aesthetic. The band consists of Étienne Marsal (vocals, guitar), Aurélien Auchain (guitar), Stefano Bedani (bass), and Charles-Antoine Vanderborght (drums). Their debut self-titled album, "Mountain Bike" (2014), quickly established them on the Belgian and European alternative scene, thanks to their catchy, laid-back tracks infused with humor. In 2017, they released their second album, "Too Sorry For Any Sorrow", refining their sound with a balance of raw energy and bright pop melodies. The band is often compared to artists like Mac DeMarco or Pavement, but their music retains a unique Brussels touch. Mountain Bike is also known for their lively and spontaneous live performances, embracing a DIY spirit and maintaining a close connection with their audience. They embody the free-spirited and uninhibited vibe of the new Belgian indie scene.
