Mrlambert (Lambert Mlule) was born in 1998 and raised in Nyarugusu, Tanzania; a refugee camp where his parents met while fleeing the war torn Republic of Congo. His passion for music began there at five years old singing in church and Sunday school. At seventeen his family immigrated to America where he studied English, music and dance, and began writing songs, releasing them on YouTube.
He soon caught the ear of Bridgeport studio owner, Akeem "Ace" Custis, who tapped industry veteran Rich Keller (DMX, P. Diddy, Nas, Rick Ross, Nypsey Hussle) to join the Afro movement with them. The team started work immediately, enlisting producers Echec, from Lagos, Nigeria and FrAga, from Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
With his 2020 debut single "Mhm Aha" and an EP in the vault, Mrlambert’s, Afro-pop high energy vocals are catching fire on Tanzanian radio and tv across the continent. So keep an ear out for Mrlambert because, as he puts it,
“I’m comin, I’m ready, I'm ready, ready!"
