Naci Oğuz’s artistic process involves delving into his inner thoughts and trying to pinpoint similarities to the outside world as he perceives it and using this so-called ’common ground’ as the source of inspiration for his music. He often utilizes a darker sound when bringing together influences from different genres and blending cultural motifs in an effort to push familiar forms into progression. He sees the guitar and the fretless guitar as narrators with dramatic flair and writes songs suited to these storytellers hidden inside the instruments.
Naci Oğuz remains an active member of the ethno-fusion band “Develer”, literal translation “Camels”, which he founded in 2019 together with Niko Doğu and Muaz Ceyhan.
