Listening to Nadine Yomi’s music feels like arriving at a lavishly set table, where each song offers rest, peace, and renewal. Her music invites us to slow down and reconnect—with ourselves, each other, and God. Her lyrics express a universal longing for something more, carried by her ethereal and soulful voice.
Her name, meaning “hope divine,” captures the heart of her work. Growing up in Switzerland, Nadine saw close family members struggle with mental illness. “When faced with hardship,” she says, “I started exploring the meaning of hope that’s tested when everything else breaks apart.”
Moving to London to pursue songwriting, she began sharing her life-affirming message through performances in churches, Sofar Sounds, and BBC Radio. But shortly after releasing her EP Rise in 2017, her younger sister died by suicide. From deep grief, new songs emerged—intimate prayers drawing on the Psalms.
Nadine is now set to release her debut album, The Longing Soul—a collection of devotional songs that reflect her journey of rooting herself in God. Songs that echo why she first began writing.
“For me, songwriting was always about connection and devotion,” she shares. “Even as a child, I wrote songs as prayers, sensing a beautiful atmosphere around me when I was singing.”
Blending gospel and contemplative worship traditions like Taizé, The Longing Soul offers a spiritual journey into divine love—a place where joy quietly grows even in the darkest seasons.
