Born in Hunan, China, and spending his high school life in Arkansas, Neo Liu had a peripatetic and multicultural childhood before eventually settling in Los Angeles. With a refined and soulful voice, Liu was discovered in a local song contest and professionally trained with Jodi Tomlionson.
In 2016, Liu broke ground with the song “Calling for Rain”, which was featured in the feature film “Kingsglaive Final Fantasy XV”. Soon after the release, the song gained millions of streams and unexpectedly positive feedback from Final Fantasy fans. Liu was invited to perform in Birmingham, UK, and New Jersey, NY, and he genuinely enjoyed connecting with people through the song.
