Four friends from Ontario, Canada formed emo post-rock band New Design in 2008.

Drawing inspiration from American Football, Moneen, Moving Mountains, and Toe, New Design blends the atmosphere and emotion of their respective genres to bring listeners dynamic soundscapes, memorable melodies, and heartfelt lyrics.

New Design released their first album Far From Home in 2015. This was followed by “Where I Need To Be” in 2019 and the EP’s b-sides “What Was Left Unsaid” in 2020 through independent record label Sunday Drive Records. They have toured across Canada and the United States and have opened for notable bands, including Prawn, Foxing, The Reign of Kindo, Tricot, and Don Ross.
