Pierre Niclas Francesco Campagnol
Born 15th of August 1973 in Växjö, Sweden to an Italian Father and a Swedish Mother, Niclas Father, Gabriele, was a professional drummer who travelled around Europe in the early sixties. In 1968 Gabriele toured with the Italian Group "Join Performance. Here they would perform at the City Hall Hotel in Växjö and this is were he met Niclas' Mother, Monica Ericsson. 5 years later, Niclas was born.
Niclas started playing drums at age 4. His Father hired a teacher that would arrive at their home every Sunday afternoon to give Niclas drum lessons. Later on he joined the music school at age 8 where he would play in a marching band, a percussion ensemble, the junior big band while starring in different jazz, pop, rock ensembles and even in big classical ensembles/orchestras. At sixteen he moved from the little hometown to Svalöv, outside Malmö to study at Fridhems Folkhögskola. A year later he moved to Copenhagen, Denmark where he continued studying at the Rythmic Conservatory.
He graduated in 1996 and became one of the most wanted drummers on the live scene working on TV-Shows, in recording studios and teaching at different schools all around Denmark. Throughout the years he created a great reputation on the music scene internationally and has played and performed in many countries all over Europe, U.S., South Africa, East Asia and Africa.
