NIKKI ONIYOME is the heart child of songwriter, vocalist and guitarist
Lisa Canelinha, bass player Vebjørn Axelsen, and producer Jørgen Skjulstad (aka Center of the Universe). The debut ep 水 sui/mizu and debut album 'ai 愛’ caught the attention by indie music bloggers with their «installation pop» (Super World Indie Tunes), «strangely beautiful and strangely twisted» (Your Dead Partner), and «captivating with unusual sounds, weird ideas and a successful production» (Global Music Magazine).
Now the time has come for a new round of adventures and experimentations with the latest collab between Nikki Oniyome and Oslo underground synth-star and indie label guru, Center of the Universe. Give their latest release, Soundwaves, a spin and enjoy the summer.
Nikki Oniyome is part of the music collective Metronomicon Audio, consisting of a wide range of artists and affiliates which together aim to promote new and interesting music. Metronomicon Audio started in 2001. As of today the community has produced 100 releases. Among these we find in addition to a lot of CDR and CD and vinyls, even more obscure formats such as circuit boards and USB sticks.
