Nils Krake is a singer-songwriter from Amsterdam, The Netherlands. He made his debut in 2015 with the single Loves Like She Lives , followed by the EP 7 Tracks in 2016. In 2019, he teamed up with Jerome Phoenix to release Fallin', and co-wrote My Home with composer Jeffrey van Rossum for the Dutch film Just Friends.
In January 2022, Nils appeared on the Dutch TV show Better Than Ever, where he gave a heartfelt performance of Burning House - Better Than Ever / Aflevering 5 / Live (originally by Cam). A studio version of the song was released shortly after. Later that year, on August 1st, he released Rosie — a beautiful rendition of the Joan Armatrading classic.
On September 1st, 2022, Nils opened the vault and shared Songs From The Vault, Pt. 1 — a collection of tracks written as far back as 2009. The album channels the soulful spirit of ’70s West Coast legends like Michael McDonald, Kenny Loggins and The Doobie Brothers, blending nostalgia with timeless grooves.
The journey came full circle on March 19th, 2025, with the release of Songs From The Vault, Pt. 2 — the final chapter in the Vault series.
