Melodic/AOR rock band from England. Formed by songwriter/bass player Nick Hogg. Nitrate has four albums to their name. ‘Real world’ was released in 2018 with vocalist Joss Mennen from 80s band Zinatra whilst ‘Open Wide’ was released less than a year later with Phil Lindstrand (Find me) on vocals. Both Albums featured Rob Wylde & Pete Newdeck (Midnite City) with Marcus Thurston (Vega) appearing on Lead guitar on the second album. The third album ‘Renegade’ was released in 2021 and was this time co-written by Tom and James Martin (Vega), featuring them both playing on the album alongside Dario Nikzad on lead guitar and Alexander Strandell (Art nation/ Crowne) on vocals. The most recent fourth album Feel the Heat was released in 2023 and working again with Alexander Strandell and the Martin twins, there is also the addition of Alex Cooper on drums and Richard Jacques on guitar. The music is Inspired by the late 80’s Rock scene and heavily influenced by the likes of Bon Jovi, FM, Journey, MÖtley CrÜe Def Leppard, Danger Danger, & Europe.
