NITRÌTONO was born as an instrumental duo. Started playing experimental music with noise elements soon they veered towards Post-Metal with psychedelic atmospheres and noise-core elements.
The name NITRÌTONO is the union of two words: nitrito and trìtono (neighing and tritone in English). The first refers to the sound of the horse, while the second in music is the so-called "diabolus in musica".
From 2012 to 2022 the band released a self-produced demo "Nitritono" (2013), two albums "Panta Rei" (2017) and "Eremo" (2021) and a split EP with Ruggine in (2018).
Now after more than two years of work, they have given birth to the third album of their career. It is titled "Cecità" (blindness in English) and is loosely based on the novel by José Saramago.
