No Sports was founded in Stuttgart in 1985 and quickly established itself in the German ska scene. Today, the band is considered a legend of German ska and is known worldwide.

From the outset, the band played a mixture of classic ska rhythms and modern elements, not limiting themselves to traditional 2-tone sounds, but also integrating punk, reggae and jazz into their music. This stylistic versatility quickly made them a popular act on the scene, appealing to both punk and ska fans.

Their first album, ‘King SKA’, was released in 1989 and was a milestone for the band. Numerous other releases followed, increasing their popularity. The 1991 album ‘Successfools’ also cemented their reputation and made them one of the best-known ska bands in Germany. Their lyrics, which often address socially critical issues such as politics, social injustice and personal freedom, are very well received. Their songs are a reflection of their personal experiences and the turbulent social landscape of our time.

No Sports is best known for their energetic live performances, where they rock the stage with passion and charisma. They have played numerous concerts throughout Europe and Japan, thrilling their fans. Even though the band has taken breaks from time to time, their influence on the German ska scene remains unbroken.

With their unmistakable mix of fun and critical awareness, rebellion and socially conscious messages No Sports are one of the cult bands of German ska.
