Nu NRG is a trance project by the two Italian DJs and music producers Andrea Ribeca (* 1974 in Viterbo, Italy) and Giuseppe Ottaviani (* 1978 in Viterbo).
After Ribeca had worked as a resident DJ in various clubs for several years, he met Ottaviani at an event in 1999 and shortly afterwards they both founded the duo Nu NRG, which was discovered in 2001 by Paul van Dyk, on whose label Vandit Records was signed and quickly gained international fame. Her most famous productions included Dreamland and Free Fall. On July 12, 2004, they released their first album Freefall. Parallel to the studio work, both also performed as a DJ duo or live act at various events, such as Nature One. In addition to Nu NRG, they also released under the alias The Moon.
At the end of 2005 Ribeca and Ottaviani decided to discontinue their collaboration and to devote themselves to solo projects. Some of the titles played during performances have remained unpublished to this day.
