Ogie Alcasid is a Filipino singer-songwriter, television presenter, comedian, parodist, and actor. He is also currently the President of OPM (Organisasyon ng Pilipinong Mang-Aawit).
Alcasid debuted as a singer in Jan 15, 1988 via the program Twogether of Martin Nievera and Pops Fernandez and released his self titled album in 1990. Ogie Alcasid reached gold record status, while his debut single "Nandito Ako" (I Am Here) was awarded "Song of the Year" by a local radio station Magic 89.9. He has since released 18 albums, including a Christmas album, a live album, and four greatest hits albums. He has received a total of twelve gold records, three platinum records, and three double platinum awards. He has won countless performance and recording awards and has written almost 170 songs to date that have been recorded either by himself or by other artists. He was a long time cast member of the no 1 gag show bubble gang from 1995-2014 and a regular host of the now defunct musical variety show SOP.
In 2016, he returned to his home network, ABS-CBN. He joined Tawag Ng Tanghalan on It's Showtime as a judge and he was also a judge of Your Face Sounds Familiar. He is currently also a main host and singer of Sunday's noon time show, ASAP Natin 'To at TV5 and Mondays through Saturdays on It’s Showtime at GMA7.
