Ogranya (pronounced or-gran-yah) is an eclectic artist whose music fuses the tenets of Afrobeats, Soul, R&B and Blues. Born in Port-Harcourt, Nigeria, Ogranya's emotive lyricism is a seamless fusion of English and Pidgin English that transports listeners through a well of immersive stories that are unique but relatable.
A second-generation musician, Ogranya's father performed with the band "The Black Stones" in the '70s. Ogranya's music was influenced by this and songs by The Beatles, Frank Sinatra, Carlos Santana, B.B. King and Elvis Presley. A trained architect, Ogranya's celestial approach to design and arrangement transform his music into a sonic fusion of the many different tales of life and love.
In 2021, Ogranya became the first African artist to put out a song every week with a project he termed "Project 52". An expressive and stage-savvy performer, he has opened for renowned acts such as Adekunle Gold, Asa, and PJ Morton of Maroon 5.
