Oh Papa are Jack, Ric, Phil and Felix. Having met through the Sheffield music scene, they have a shared love of '70s era Laurel Canyon song-writing and production, with an emphasis on soul-bearing, honest lyricism. Their 2018 release Papa Les was grounded in its minimalism, with lyrics looking at changes in familial bonds through the transition into adulthood. Their sophomore EP Sitcom saw them working with David Glover at Tesla Studios to expand their sonic range. They were able to focus on the fabric of their songs to illustrate the more sombre themes within the words, namely understanding mental health and the impact of loss.

After a string of successful single releases, Oh Papa collaborated with acclaimed musicians across the UK, culminating in their upcoming release ‘Hello Old Friend'. The new EP further realises the potential of their songwriting; richly textured with strings, harp and keys, Oh Papa have found bliss within their signature style and aesthetic.

Tom Robinson, BBC Radio 6 Music: “irresistible Americana groove and understated English vocals”
