Ohphelia’s lush harmonies, agile vocal arrangements and mesmerizing grooves are well known on the Nashville music scene, where they’ve been playing since they were teens. Friends since middle school, they gained nationwide attention when their Tiny Desk Concert submission was named on NPR’s critic’s list. With a willingness to flow through genre, they’ve created a sound that's unique, refreshing and simultaneously familiar on their full length debut, Thoughts of Love.
Inspired by legends like Joni Mitchell and Ella Fitzgerald, as well as contemporaries in the Indie music genre, writer and frontwoman Lily Ophelia Ewing began penning songs at an early age. She’s accompanied by her longtime friends and bandmates: Jackson Foster on keys and trumpet, John Mark Reed on drums, Happy Haugen on bass, and Cara Tomiko providing vocal harmonies.
“These songs are a culmination of my life’s heartbreak, curiosity and thoughts of love,” - Lily Ophelia Ewing
