Okasian

In 2012, Okasian released his first album "Boarding Procedures" to strong praise from fans and critics alike. The 1st album is seen as one of the earliest localized trap albums released before trap became mainstream in the Korean hip-hop industry, and it had a significant influence on the genre’s rapid spread across the scene.

Additionally, he went down in Korean hip-hop history with the release of "Orca Tape" with Keith Ape and Bryan Chase as part of The Cohort crew. Soon after, Okasian released "It G Ma" with Keith Ape, which went on to become the first ever global hit in Korean hip-hop. Afterward, The Cohort established itself not just as a crew, but as an icon of subculture, gaining a strong cult following.

In 2016, Okasian once again made waves as part of The Cohort by releasing "The Last Orcas", building an unprecedented global career in the history of Korean hip-hop crews. Tracks "Let Us Prey," "Walkin (Remix)," and "Underwater Bank," released through 88rising at the time, collectively reached 10M views on YouTube. Later that year, he performed alongside G-Dragon and CL, gaining widespread attention beyond the underground scene and into the mainstream. Internationally, built his reputation when the XXL named him in their "10 Korean Rappers You Should Know" list.

After a long hiatus, Okasian has gradually resumed his music career in 2025, featuring on the track "LOV3 (Feat. Bryan Chase, Okasian)", signaling the beginning of a new chapter in his music.
