Old Moon is the songwriting project of Vermont-based musician Tom Weir.
Emerging from the clang and haze of shoegaze-influenced post-punk, Old Moon’s sound has steadily expanded into a broader, more textured palette; folding in acoustic guitars, synths, and breakbeat rhythms.
The new album Around Again began as a collection of sparse sketches on an old acoustic guitar. In the studio, those bare-boned ideas bloomed into beat-driven, dream-soaked guitar tracks, balancing intimacy with an enveloping sense of atmosphere.
