About Oni
Formed in 2014 by vocalist Jake Oni originally from the Cayman Islands, "ONI" quickly emerged as one of Canada’s most promising metalcore acts, blending progressive songwriting, brutal metalcore, and cathartic melodies. His discography includes the acclaimed albums Ironshore (2016), Loathing Light (2022), and The Silver Line (2023), featuring collaborations with artists like Jared Dines, Howard Jones, Sueco, Randy Blythe, Iggy Pop, Kellin Quinn, and more. In early 2025, ONI continued his evolution with Genesis, a powerful collection of singles—including “Deja Vu,” “Walk Away,” “Control,” “Realign,” and “Erase”—further solidifying his place among alternative metal's best new acts.
