Paper Tiger grew up in Minneapolis. His father played in a rock band, his mom blasted pop music in her '85 Ford Escort, and Paper practiced dance moves in his room. Flashing forward to the present day, Paper works across genres and media, with a style characterized by expertly layered sounds and bold melodic patterns. As a live DJ and producer he has toured internationally, including performances at Glastonbury, Lollapalooza, SXSW, X–Games, and Riot Fest. It is unclear how often he dances in his room.
