Pas De Deux was founded in 1982 by Dett Peyskens, Hilde Van Roy and Walter Verdin.
After a short solo carrier as a singer songwriter of Flemish funky music (<a href="spotify:artist:0QgM98KR4UR3c6zQXGAjMk" data-name="Specimen & The Rizikoos">Specimen & The Rizikoos</a> and <a href="spotify:album:2TXSupBmIXdEVNORmjgjzc" data-name="Cinema">Cinema</a>) Walter had been involved in musical theater, as an actor and composer (<a href="spotify:album:2hMIkwHdkyQ3yUoAGdtjEA" data-name="Voor Adeline “Een Fantastisch Nieuw Muziektheater” door Theater De Kreet">Voor Adeline “Een Fantastisch Nieuw Muziektheater” door Theater De Kreet</a>).
The carrier of Pas De Deux took a massive turn when the Flemish broadcaster asked them to take part of the pre-selections for the ESC 1983. They won the final! Their song 'Rendez-vous' evoked a big storm in the Belgian media.
Pas De Deux stopped as a group at the end of 1983.
After Pas de deux, Dett Peyskens followed her own way as a composer, singer, actrice and fine artist. Since a couple of years she shows her ‘Between the folds’-works in exhibitions in Belgium and abroad.
Hilde Van Roy went on working as a radio and television journalist, and later on specialized in counseling and psychotherapy. She now lives in Spain most of the year.
Walter Verdin started working on his first video concert: VIDEORHYTHMICS, premiere in the Brussels disco EX- in 1984. This concert was his first step into becoming a successful and reputed video-artist, with some internationally acclaimed dance videos and video projections for choreographies and theater projects. In his own 'visual music'-projects (installations, performances and concerts) he collaborates with artists from different disciplines and cultures.
