I'm Philip G Anderson, an independent, contemporary classical artist and composer. My music is deeply personal, a collection of life experiences, events, and emotions channeled into sound. I seek to connect and share stories with people through my music which is partly why I've written this bio section to speak directly to you.
My artistic work began in 2017 with the release of my first EP, "Winter", which was inspired by my love for the cold and snowy season and the beautiful imagery that comes with it. I followed up the EP with a series of single releases including "Close", a piece written in reflection of the passing of my grandfather. In 2018 I collaborated with filmmaker Eric Waldron to create "Portraits", a short film to show our universal connection as human beings.
In 2019 I released my first album, "Wilderness", which was born out of my desire to escape my surroundings at the time I wrote the album. I collaborated with photographer/cinematographer Grant Boutiette to create a series of films for the album which can be viewed on my website.
Figment, my second full length album, was released in June 2021. The album serves as a reflection on personal struggle, growth, and evolution and marks a distinct change in tone/style from my past works.
