Growing up on a remote island, nature has infused his music with poetry. His work explores the symbiosis between humanity and nature, and the quest for harmony with our ecosystem.
In 2024, Piano Novel embarks on a new artistic cycle, integrating his project into a more universal dimension in harmony with nature. Discovering cave paintings with their enigmatic shapes and colors, he feels a sense of vertigo at this perspective on early humans. These ancient works evoke ancestral musical scores for him, inspiring melodies that seem to emanate from the walls of the caves, telling our common history and the tales of ancient shamans.
“Shaman” is part of a larger project titled Luminous Traces. The works of early humans, carved into stone, bear witness to their lives and beliefs, just as our modern creations reflect our passage on Earth. Inspired by these ancient works, Piano Novel invites us to contemplate our own heritage and to question the stories we tell and the imprints we will leave in our “modern caves.”
