Pin-Up Went Down is an experimental metal band from France, formed by Alexis Damien and Asphodel (Aurélie Raidron).
While often categorized as avant-garde metal, the band describes itself as “a blend of art rock, metal, avant-garde, and pop.”
On March 28, 2008, the duo released their debut studio album, 2 Unlimited, through Ascendance Records. The album’s fusion of genres—including power pop, progressive metal, death metal, funk, symphonic metal, and gospel—was well received by critics. Two years later, on June 28, 2010, their second album 342 was released, also through Ascendance. It further expanded their unique musical style and was again met with positive reviews.
In 2010, Nicolas Damien, Alexis’ brother, joined the band, turning the duo into a trio.
Afterward, Asphodel went on to form the project öOoOoOoOoOo, while Alexis later founded No Terror in the Bang.
