Pina Palau

Pina Palau has always been fascinated by raw, unfiltered humanity—our motives, emotions, and the stories that shape our lives. Her plan was to one day explore the human psyche as a psychiatrist.
That plan will have to wait. Since the release of her debut album Illusion—featuring the hit single Jupi (1.6 Mio streams on Spotify)—she's found herself behind the wheel of a tour van rather than a psychiatrist’s chair, crossing Europe instead of analyzing minds. She’s opened for artists like Courtney Barnett, BEACHPEOPLE , MY Ugly clementine and Alex Lahey, and recently joined King Hannah on their sold-out European tour. With her own band, she has played festivals like Reeperbahn, Waves, and Montreux Jazz Festival. In March 2024, she released her second album Get A Dog via Mouthwatering Records (Black Sea Dahu, To Athena). Now, she’s back with the first single from a new album. Her songwriting is sharp and to the point, her lyrics are always witty and playful.
She’s absorbed influences from Adrianne Lenker (Big Thief), MJ Lenderman, and Waxahatchee, while carrying the spirit of legends like Joan Baez, Patti Smith, and Janis Joplin. Always backed by a killer band—fuzzy guitars, melodic basslines, and drums as dry as Pina Palau’s humor.
